3D Printing Innovation Project with AUEA UTC students:
Aston University Engineering Academy (UTC) in collaboration with University College Birmingham (UCB) and partner Aston University.
David Chapman, Vice Principal involved Avatar 3D, local manufacturing business and 3D printing subject expert to provide the vocational learning experience giving students the practical skills, theory and workplace understanding.
Manufacturing the Chocolate Extruder:
Parts for the chocolate extruder were designed using Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD design software ready for 3D printing, with some parts being manufactured using the laser cutter, lathe and milling machine, thus giving students an insight into both Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing processes : Play video to watch students showcasing their work, 3D printing in chocolate at parents open evening.
